La 79.ª edición de los BAFTA se acerca y las nominaciones ya han sido reveladas, destacando lo mejor del cine británico e internacional. Sirāt, la película española de Oliver Laxe, figura entre los nominados.
La gala anual se celebrará el 22 de febrero en el icónico Royal Festival Hall de Londres. Entre los filmes que competirán por los prestigiosos premios, destacan títulos como Hamnet, Marty Supreme, Una batalla tras otra, Valor Sentimental, Sinners y, por supuesto, Sirāt.
La lista completa de nominados fue anunciada por los actores Aimee Lou Wood (The White Lotus) y David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus). En la categoría de habla no inglesa, Sirāt se medirá con It Was Just an Accident de Irán, Valor sentimental de Noruega, La voz de Hind de Túnez y El agente secreto, producción brasileña dirigida por Kleber Mendonça Filho.
Actores como Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme) y Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), así como actrices de reparto como Odessa A’zion (Marty Supreme) y Emily Watson (Hamnet), compiten por reconocimientos individuales.
